It's a place that can be difficult to love and a place that some people love to hate and you may have to look hard and sometimes twice at things you'd rather not look at, but the evidence is everywhere. Despite gentrification, despite the fentanyl crisis, day in, day out, kindness and generosity continue to prevail on the streets of the Downtown Eastside. Some days it doesn't seem to be enough and some days it feels like the only place in Vancouver where you can find love winning the battle against indifference and intolerance.

Sea Change: New images from either side of the Adriatic
Hi all, still in the thick of editing the documentation and interview footage from our time working at the Torre de Moro Migrant Centre. We hope to be able to share some of the stories we were fortunate enough to be entrusted with soon. In the mean time, here's another selection of images that explore the emotional landscape and/or political climate of some of the places we moved through on our recent travels. To paraphrase Miran Norderland once again, " ...when interconnected risks become the new normal, what can happen to 'them' can easily happen to 'us'.
